Where to eat pizza in NYC. 5 Borough New York City pizza tour. Pizza in NYC.
In this video, we will take you on a pizza tour of all five boroughs of NYC. But, we have two stipulations. First, we eat a unique style of pizza at each stop. Second, we take ferries as often as possible between each location. There is so much amazing pizza in New York City and these are just five of many great options.
Take a look at the list below for all of the stops on this tour. These can be found on the below maps:

1: Louie’s Pizzeria and Restaurant
81-34 Baxter Avenue
Elmhurst, NY 11373
First stop of this tour is Louie’s Pizzeria and Restaurant in Elmhurst, Queens. It is one of our favorite places in NYC. Here, they are known for the grandma slice, a square slice with fresh tomato on top of fresh mozzarella. Also, there is basil, garlic, Parmesan cheese and olive oil. We highlighted Louie’s in our guide where to eat near LaGuardia Airport.
2: Louie and Ernie’s Pizza
1300 Crosby Avenue
Bronx, NY 10461
Up next, we visited a spot that many consider the best pizzeria in The Bronx. Is Louie and Ernie’s the best pizza in The Bronx? Many national and local publications have included this Bronx institution in their top pizza lists for good reason. The sausage pizza is their signature, topped with ground sausage chunks. But, their regular slice is also excellent. Here, we ordered one of each of these thin-crust slices.
3: PQR (Pizza Quadrata Romana)
1631 2nd Avenue
New York, NY 10028
Keeping with the unique styles of pizza, we came to PQR for Manhattan’s spot. Roman style pizza is very light and uniquely prepared. Here, the dough is subject to a 96 hour fermentation! This focus makes for a highly digestible dough. Here we ordered the bufala, topped with buffalo milk mozzarella and basil.
4: Lee’s Tavern
60 Hancock St
Staten Island, NY 10305
For Staten Island, we went to one of the most highly-rated spots for pizza, Lee’s Tavern in Dongan Hills. Here, they serve a bar style pizza with thin crust. Fittingly, the spot itself is a bar and there is no signage outside. We ordered the red clam pie, a half sausage and pepperoni pie and half regular. Also, we ordered a special side dish that you’ll have to watch to find out.
5: L’industrie Pizzeria
254 S 2nd Street
Brooklyn, NY 11211
