In this episode, we will take you to our favorite spot for seafood in New York. Astoria Seafood is a fish market that also is a “restaurant” and unlike any other experience in NYC. Their primary business is a seafood wholesaler to restaurants. This allows them to sell seafood to the public at a lower price.

Astoria Seafood can also be found on our Queens food maps, in the Astoria and Long Island City map.

Not only can you buy seafood to bring home and cook yourself, but they also have a kitchen. But there’s a catch, you pick out your seafood by hand with a plastic bag and the fun begins! It can be chaotic, but we break down the way to go in order to have a smooth experience at this unique spot. There’s no other place in NYC quite like this one. Combine the food with the atmosphere, diverse clientele and low prices compared to full-scale restaurants and it makes this our favorite!
