The best tacos al pastor in NYC can be found late night on the streets of Jackson Heights, Queens. Yes, the term “best” isn’t one to be thrown around loosely, but we truly believe these are the best NYC has to offer. In this episode, we take you step by step on a late night mission to our favorite cart. Why is it a mission? The cart only comes out at night, usually after 9:30PM or later. This cart specalizes in tacos al pastor, as well as tortas al pastor. We have been coming to this cart on Roosevelt Avenue and Junction Boulevard for about a year and a half now and are hooked! After visiting Mexico City earlier this year, we gained an even greater respect for their craft which has spinning trompos of al pastor on nearly every block.

No other place in New York makes their al pastor quite like this one. In fact, natives of Mexico have told us that this is the closest they have tasted to tacos in Mexico City. It is a very special place and we are excited to share it with you all.
